STORY & PHILOSOPHY
I am a woodworker based out of Deep Cove, North Vancouver. I rework reclaimed + repurposed materials into simply shaped and organically designed pieces. Each creation is meant to highlight the dings and dents from its past life to hopefully remind us all to celebrate our own imperfections while also inspiring the infinite possibilities of upcycling.
The rustic west coast lifestyle of my upbringing in Coldwell Beach, Indian Arm, set the foundation for woodworking where nothing is wasted and everything is reused when you are your own hardware store with a boat ride away from the world.
Today my collection has grown and the pieces you see on my site are now aptly named Coldwell Creations.
When not in the workshop I like to spend time adventuring on the North Shore mountains, tending to my family's veggie garden, filling my pantry with homesteader aspirations and playing oceanside.
I also believe in contributing to my community and keeping the magic of the small town feel of the Cove alive. This is why I jumped on board to build the Cove Community Market series - a local artisan market with eco forward and handmade goods.
